This Privacy Policy explains what information GustoDR ("GustoDR," "we," "us") processes when you visit this website or create an account (the "Service"). Account registration is optional - you can browse and search recipes without signing up. Creating an account (for example, to save favorites) requires an email address.
Account information. If you sign up, we (via our authentication provider, Neon Auth) store your email address and an authentication session so you can stay signed in and save favorites.
Technical request data. Our servers automatically record standard technical data for reliability and performance monitoring, including: the requested page/endpoint, HTTP status code, response time, and your IP address at the time of the request. This is collected via OpenTelemetry, an observability framework, and stored on our self-hosted monitoring instance.
Cookies. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (to keep you signed in, remember an anonymous identifier used for feature rollouts, and remember your cookie choice) at all times. We only set analytics cookies (Google Tag Manager) or advertising cookies (Google AdSense) if you accept them in the cookie banner - see Section 3.
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies. If you Accept, we load Google Tag Manager to measure how the Service is used, and Google AdSense to show ads (which may use cookies for ad personalization/measurement). If you Decline, neither loads and no analytics/advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. Google's use of advertising cookies is also governed by Google's own policies - see How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google Ad Settings to control ad personalization.
We use account information to operate your account and sign-in, and technical request data to operate, monitor, secure, and troubleshoot the Service. With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used and advertising cookies to show and measure ads. We do not sell technical request data or account information to third parties.
We share information with the service providers that help us run the Service: Neon (authentication and database hosting), and - only if you consent to cookies - Google (Tag Manager/Analytics and AdSense). Our request-monitoring infrastructure is self-hosted and not shared with third parties. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GustoDR or others.
Account information is retained for as long as your account exists. Technical request data is retained only as long as necessary for the monitoring and troubleshooting purposes described above, after which it is deleted or aggregated in a way that no longer identifies a specific request or visitor.
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information or technical request data. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
